  • Shelly is a registered Mental Health Nurse and currently works as a perinatal and infant mental health clinician in the public sector in Sydney.
Working with pregnant and new mums daily has given Shelly the opportunity to extend her skills and knowledge into an area that she feels is missing during the perinatal period. The role of touch and physical affection in the early years is crucial to the development of infants and supports the mother and fathers mental health and wellbeing. Touch is often not celebrated as one of the first senses to develop in utero and one of the easiest senses to nurture during pregnancy and the years following.
Infant Massage introduces parents to nurturing touch and improves abilities to communicate with their little ones. The first touch program is a combination of massage and yoga sequences that supports the parent infant interaction, building a loving, supportive and safe relationship whilst having lots of Fun!
