Kate has spent the last 14 years working with families, working as a paediatric nurse, midwife and Calmbirth® Educator. She is in the final stages of becoming an infant massage instructor. Kate is also the mother of three young children. Her passion lies in supporting families to develop strong, secure and loving relationships through gentle guidance and support.
Kate recognises that the transition to becoming a parent involves a steep learning curve. She has observed that many parents worry about ‘getting things right’ and often feel confused by conflicting information relating to how to respond to their baby. During the five-week First Touch Program you will gain confidence in recognising and responding to your baby’s needs as you learn their communication cues.
At the heart of the first touch program is the recognition that each baby has meaningful ways of communicating. When we allow ourselves time and the space to listen and observe we can learn to respond with sensitivity and confidence. In her massage classes Kate will support you as you develop these skills through the practice of infant massage. Each group is limited to 8 parents and babies to enable a nurturing environment where parents can learn and support one another.
Kate provides infant massage classes on The Central Coast through her business The Wonders Within. For more information please visit www.thewonderswithin.com.au or her Facebook page for upcoming courses https://www.facebook.com/thewonderswithin/
