Baby in Mind offer nationally accredited training in cue-based infant massage and parent-infant relationship education.
This training qualifies you to deliver the First Touch Program: which helps parents build confidence in recognising their baby’s cues. At the same time, you’ll provide parents with skills to respond sensitively to these cues using baby massage, other forms of healthy touch, movement, voice and eye contact.
This is the only government-accredited infant massage training program available in the world.
About This Course
The training consists of a four-day course, followed by a series of take-home assignments and practical activities. On successful completion, graduates receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in Cue-Based Infant Massage and Parent-Infant Relationship Education.
Graduates are qualified to teach the First Touch Program to small groups of parents. The program includes infant massage, and other activities using healthy touch, eye contact, voice and movement. The progam also supports parents to gain confidence in understanding their baby’s cues and communication signals. Graduates deliver the program in their work, and many others go on to set up their own practice, working for themselves and running sessions for parents in their community.
To gain entry in to the program you need to have a relevant qualification OR relevant life experience. Raising your own children is considered appropriate life experience, and around 30% of our students are ordinary mums and dads who want to support other parents.
